Some of the chaperones on tour serve as an “Uncle” or “Auntie”, offering mentorship as a chaperone and applying practical skills. Many of The Choir roles include: Administrator, Teacher, Product Salesperson, Music Supervisor, Sound Technician, Bus Driver, or even Tour Leader.
There is a special need for Bus Drivers, Sound Technicians, musically trained chaperones and right now we are also short of male chaperones.
This is an incredibly fulfilling way to impact children’s lives, and is a travel experience unlike any other!
Chaperoning requires a minimum commitment of one year. Applicants must be at least 20 years old. Chaperones serve as volunteers, often raising personal basic financial support towards personal expense (food and lodging is provided by the hospitality of host families/churches/venues). Chaperones are required to accept Music for Life’s Statement of Faith as we are a faith-based relief and development organization.
The application process starts out with the completion of a chaperone application form, in which you express interest in becoming a chaperone, tell us more about yourself and provide some personal references. Our volunteer department then review the application and, should you appear to be well suited to life on the road, contact you with the next steps in the process.
Complete the volunteer expression of interest form below, and our volunteer department will be in contact with you within two weeks.
