The African Children’s Choir
The African Children’s Choir is made up of children from Africa who have lost one or both parents to poverty or disease. Over the past 28 years the choir has raised millions of dollars to educate and rebuild countries devastated by famine, war and AIDS. Through its relief and development work, the ACC has now helped over 100,000 people throughout the 7 countries the organization serves. Their voices have been heard by world leaders and top entertainers, recently performing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s and Gary Barlow’s “Sing” at the Queen’s Diamond Jubliee.
Kenny Alphin came to fame as half of the Grammy-nominated super duo Big & Rich, which sold in excess of five million albums. As a solo artist, Kenny has written top 10 hits for himself as well as Tim McGraw (“Last Dollar”), Gretchen Wilson (“Here For The Party”), Jason Aldean (“Hicktown”, “Amarillo Sky”), and been named BMI’s Songwriter of the Year.
Carla Gugino (Co-Host)
Carla Gugino is currently starring in the 2012 mini-series, Political Animals. She is known for her roles of Ingrid Cortez in the Spy Kids film trilogy, Dr. Vera Gorski in Sucker Punch, Lucille in Sin City, Amanda Daniels in seasons 3, 5 and 7 of Entourage, Sally Jupiter in Watchmen and as the lead characters of the television series Karen Sisco and Threshold. Her feature film work includes starring roles in Son in Law, Night at the Museum, Race to Witch Mountain, American Gangster and Mr. Popper’s Penguins.
Connie Britton (Co-Host)
Connie Britton is currently staring as Rayna James in the upcoming ABC musical drama series Nashville. Well known for the roles of Nikki Faber on the ABC sitcom Spin City and as Diane Huxley on the TV series 24, Connie has received multiple Emmy nominations for her role as Tami Taylor on Friday Night Lights and as Vivien Harmon in the FX horror-drama series American Horror Story.
